Introducing the Knives by Nuge Bruin. The idea for this design came from necessity while hunting in 2023. I was using my Wicket XL to process a deer and found myself looking for just a little more reach and narrow profile for those deeper cuts. I wanted to ensure that I could get into some of those hard-to-reach places while maintaining the ability to efficiently skin the deer.
When I sat down at the drawing board two of my older models came to mind. The blade shape of EDB with its long blade and slicing belly is exactly what I needed. Combining that with a narrowed version of the bushcrafter handle would create a comfortable and functional hunting knife.
I originally designed the Bruin with a saber grind, but while testing prototypes with some trusted outdoor professionals, they unanimously said that making the Bruin in a scandi grind would result in an excellent all-purpose field knife.
Ultimately, I decided to produce the Bruin in both scandi and saber grind options. If you’re looking for a dedicated hunting knife the saber grind may be up your alley, but if you are looking for an all-purpose field knife the scandi version may be the way to go.
The Bruin will be available in a variety of steel options including AEB-L, Nitro-V, and CPM-3V. All these options are incredibly tough and will hold up to the rigors of outdoor use.

I love the Chickpea. Its a small but versatile knife. I will be using it for skinning turkeys and small game and also for carving. Very good design and weight. Fits in my medium hand perfectly. I hope Thomas makes some more of the Trout series.
I’ve been wanting a chickpea for awhile now and I’m so glad I grabbed this one! The color is vibrant, the acid wash on the blade is just how I like it, and I love the small, useful size of the chickpea. I love a small fixed blade that will work as a pocket carry, and this little guy fits my hand and my pocket perfectly. I already used it for several small tasks the day I got it!
Excellent knife! One of my favorites….. except for the orange handles, I hate orange. That alone should tell you how much I love the knives T Nuge makes. My new edc and it’s a wood eating knife and makes lite work of any bushcraft/outdoor task you have.
I recently purchased the Cub and I am well pleased. Fit and finish of the knife is fantastic. The same can be said for the leather sheath supplied with the knife. The knife ergonomics are spot on for my hands. I believe it is a very capable package and I’m glad I purchased it.
Very cool little knife. Love the hndle and his the knife and sheath combo can be so discreet as a neck knife. It's smaller than I expected but still very usable. Did I mention that handle is awesome?
Hands down my favorite. I’ve been following Tom’s work for a while and had my eye on the Wicket for over a year. After missing a couple of drops, I finally got my hands on one.
I own a fair number of knives, but this one quickly became my go-to for everyday carry. The size, the feel in hand, the build quality. It’s perfect. I carry and use it every single day. If you’re on the fence, don’t wait. This knife is 100 percent worth it.
